Manitoba Falls Short in Tiebreaker at Canadian Wheelchair Championship

Team Manitoba has lost a tiebreaker game 6-3 to Alberta in the Canadian Wheelchair Championship at the Callie Curling Club in Regina. Skipped by Mark Wherrett through their final few games,when regular skip Dennis Thiessen had to return home due to a death  in the family, Manitoba finished with a 5-4 record thanks to a last round victory over Newfoundland-Labrador. When Alberta lost on the same draw, a three-way fourth place tie occurred. 

Alberta will play BC Friday evening for the final playoff position. Northern Ontario and Saskatchewan (both 7-2) will meet in the Page 1-2 Playoff while third place Nova Scotia (6-3) awaits the winner of the tiebreaker draw.
