Jared Kolomaya-Stonewall (6-2 over Andrew Irving-Pembina) has advanced to the KKP Classic semi-finals at Winnipeg's Fort Rouge Curling Club. Kolomaya will play Matt Dunstone-Granite at 2pm. In the other game, Dennis Bohn trails Taylor McIntyre-Granite 4-2 in the 7th end. The winner advances against Daley Peters-East St. Paul.

Saturday: Playoffs Set for Fort Rouge KKP Men's Classic - Matt Dunstone's Granite team finished with a perfect 4-0 record a 4-shot draw to the button shootout score of net 20 inches from the pin and has been ranked #1, with a bye to the semi-finals of the KKP Classic at the Fort Rouge Curling Club. Daley Peters and his East St. Paul foursome, also 4-0, were ranked second and also earned a bye to the semi-final.

Taylor McIntyre-Granite (4-0) ranked third and will play Dennis Bohn (3-1) in a Sunday 10AM quarterfinal. In the other quarterfinal, Jared Kolomaya-Stonewall (3-1) plays Andrew Irving-Pembina (2-2). Dunstone will play the Kolomaya-Irving winner at 2PM while Peters meets the Bohn-McIntyre victor. The final game goes at 5PM.

Five of Six Playoff Teams Set with a Draw to Play - Team Dennis Bohn has completed its round robin play in the KKP Classic at Fort Rouge with a 3-1 record and they will advance to the Sunday playoff round. Daley Peters (3-0) will also advance no matter the result of his team's final round robin game against Curtis McCannell-Pilot Mound. In Pool B, Taylor McIntyre-Granite has a 3-0 record and will advance no matter the result of this evening's game against Kelly Lauber. Lauber is at 1-2 and must win to have a chance at playoffs.  Andrew Irving-Pembina (1-2) plays Doug Harrison 2-1. A Harrison win will advance the senior men's team to the playoff round. An Irving win will create a 2 or 3 way tie at 2-2 and the pre-event draw-shootout scores will be used to determine the second team advancing from this pool. In Pool C Matt Dunstone-Granite and Jared Kolomaya-Stonewall play in the final round robin draw, Saturday evening. Both have 3-0 records so they are playing for first place in the group. However the two teams will both advance to the playoff round as the top two teams in the pool.

Draw Set for Fort Rouge KKP Men's Classic - Team Bohn will be looking for a victory this weekend in the KKP Classic at Fort Rouge, but this time it will be a Dennis Bohn skipped team trying to match the success of the David Bohn skipped team last weekend at Granite.
