The Jones team payday was $6,000.

When Horgan and Jones went to an extra end in the final game, it was the second extra end match of the day for both teams.

Jones needed an extra end and a steal to win her quarterfinal game (7-6) over Joelle Brown Monday morning in Morris before posting a 6-3 victory over Kristy McDonald to advance to the final. For Tracy Horgan's Sudbury team, the first extra end of the day came in the semifinal, a 6-5 victory over Jill Thurston. Horgan had defeated Breanne Meakin-ON 8-2 in the quarterfinal. Both extra end points were steals.

Thurston defeated Michelle Montford 8-5 and McDonald beat Cathy Auld-ON 7-3 in their quarterfinals.

In addition to winning $4,000, reaching the semi-final moved the McDonald team into the top ranking position on the Manitoba Curling Tour presented by Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries while Thurston moved to the #5 position on the rankings list.

Quarterfinalists Brown, Meakin, Montford and Auld all picked up $2,500 cheques for their efforts.
