Final Update: A 7-4 loss by Manitoba's Wheelchair Curling Champions at the hands of Alberta Saturday means the Manitobans will come home with a Bronze Medal from the National Championship in Nova Scotia. Manitoba had allowed the fewest steals all week but gave up three points on back-to-back steals on the 4th and 5th ends of the semi-final game. Trailing 7-1, Manitoba was able to score only 3 points, including a steal of their own, in the next two ends. The final score in the 8-end game was 7-4. Alberta advances to play British Columbia in the National final.

Friday Update: Manitoba's champions continued their pattern of steals, scoring three ends without the hammer, in a 6-5 Page 3-4 Playoff game win Friday afternoon over Northern Ontario at the Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championships. One of the three stolen ends was an extra end when the Manitoba steal gave them the 6-5 victory. The team skipped by Chris Sobkowicz advances to the semi-final game against Alberta, who lost 5-4 to Britich Columbia. Coincidentally the winning point was a steal for BC. Alberta and Manitoba shared second place in the round-robin with 7-2 records but Alberta earned the second place playoff berth by beating Manitoba in the round-robin.

Thursday Update 2: Manitoba finished the round-robin with a win, 7-4 over Ontario to secure third place in the standings going into the Page Playoff round. At 8-1, Britsh Columbia finishes first. Alberta is 7-2, tied with Manitoba, and gets second place based on a round-robin win over Manitoba. The fourth place playoff team will be determined by a tiebreaker game between Ontario and Northern Ontario. Both finished at 5-4. Manitoba continues to lead the way in steals (25) and steals given up (4).

Thursday Update 1: Manitoba improved to 6-2 with a shut-out win over Quebec on today's first draw. Alberta and BC also won, improving their record to 7-1. Ontario trails Manitoba at 5-3 and is Manitoba's opponent in the final round-robin game Thursday. A secret to Manitoba's success this week lies in the fact that the team leads the championship in fewest points given up in steals (3) and most points stolen (21).

Wednesday Update: Manitoba Wheelchair Curling Champion team currently holds down third place in the standings at their Canadian Championship in Nova Scotia. Wednesday's performance was a split of two games for a record of 5-2, in third place behind Alberta and British Columbia both at 6-1. The Manitobans followed a morning 8-2 win over Nova Scotia with a 6-3 afternoon loss to BC.

Tuesday Update #1: The Manitobans have improved their record to 4-1 at the Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championships in Nova Scotia. On draw #5, Tuesday afternoon, Team Manitoba scored a 7-2 victory over Newfoundland-Labrador.

The Manitobans opened with three wins before taking their first loss on Tuesday afternoon (March 24).
