Capital One Grand Slam of Curling Scores Partnership with Goldline Curling

The Capital One Grand Slam of Curling and iSport Media and Management announced today that Goldline Curling has been named the official equipment and apparel partner for curling’s elite, annual international series.

“The Capital One Grand Slam of Curling events have distinguished themselves as a premier attraction, both in terms of television audience and arena attendance,” said Doug Flowers, President of Goldline. “This partnership gives us the opportunity to showcase our product in a very focused way to our market.  Our goal is to position Goldline as the supplier of choice and this partnership is a significant step in that direction.”

As the official equipment and apparel partner for the Capital One Grand Slam of Curling, Goldline will supply all tournament staff and volunteers with clothing items as well as provide on-site merchandising during each men’s event.

“As a company that is synonymous with providing world class curling clothing and equipment to the sport’s biggest names, Goldline Curling is a natural choice to serve as the official supplier for the Capital One Grand Slam of Curling,” said Kevin Albrecht, President and Chief Executive Officer of iSport Media and Management. “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Goldline and we look forward to working with them as we grow the world’s best curling series.”

Held annually since 2001-02, the Capital One Grand Slam of Curling features the world’s best curlers competing in a series of elite international events.

The men’s 2009-10 Capital One Grand Slam of Curling series will begin with the Masters of Curling at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga, Ont. from October 21-25, 2009.  The Sleeman Centre in Guelph, Ont. will host the series’ second event, The National from January 6-10, 2010 while Winnipeg’s MTS Centre will be the site of the third event, the BDO Classic Canadian Open, from January 20-24, 2010. 

The 2009-10 Capital One Grand Slam of Curling concludes with the Grey Power Players’ Championship, an event featuring separate men’s and women’s draws.  The dates and location for the 2010 Grey Power Players’ Championship will be announced in the coming weeks.

As part of its exclusive agreement, CBC will air live playoff coverage of the first three men’s 2009-10 Capital One Grand Slam of Curling events.  CBC will also broadcast the men’s and women’s finals of the 2010 Grey Power Players’ Championship.
