Kerry Burtnyk's 1981 Manitoba and Canadian Champion Team was one of two teams inducted May 4 into the Manitoba Curling Hall of Fame.

It is 27 years since (l-r) Mark Olson, Jim Spencer, Ron Kammerlock, and Burtnyk went undefeated at the Keystone Centre in Brandon to win the Labatt Tankard.

At the Brier, trailing 4-2 coming home against Al Hackner, Burtnyk scored 3 on the 10th end to win the Canadian title.

Burtnyk, Olson and Spencer were in attendance at the Sunday evening banquet to receive their honour from MCA President Dale Brooks (l) and Hall of Fame President Fred Sutton.

The other team inducted was Leo Johnson's 1934 Canadian Championship team of Lorne Stewart, Linc Johnson, and Marno Fredrickson.
