Stoughton Top Seed for Safeway Championship

2011 World Champion Team Stoughton consisting of skip Jeff Stoughton, 3rd Jon Mead, 2nd Reid Carruthers and lead Steve Gould have been named the top seed for the 2012 Safeway Championship to be held in Dauphin, Manitoba, February 8 to 12, 2012 at Credit Union Place. The defending World, Canadian and Manitoba Champion comes in looking for his fourth straight final appearance and tenth Provincial Championship.
 
The number one ranked team on the World Curling Tour, Team McEwen, from the Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club, comes in as the second seed. 
The third seed is former Manitoba Brier representative Rob Fowler and his team from the Brandon Curling Club. The top 10 seeds are:

The seeding for the Safeway Championship is done by the 32 teams competing in the Championship.
 
This will mark the 88th year of the Provincial Men’s Championship. The 2012 Safeway Champions will go on to represent Manitoba and wear the Bison at the 2012 Tim Horton’s Brier in Saskatoon.
