Pelissier Wins 88th Annual CurlManitoba Women's Spiel

Lori Pelissier and her Thistle team (Shelley Smith, Sandy Maskiw, Quinn Jones) stole two coming home for a 7-6 victory over Cheryl Reed-Springfield (Heather Maxted, Mel Hunt, Heather Dayholos, Kate Cameron) in the Sunday final of the Asham Main event in the 88th annual CurlManitoba Women's Bonspiel. The Atkins Curling Supplies second event final was won 8-2 by Laurie Deprez-Stonewall (Darlene Sangster, Laurie Ellwood, Wendy Lischka) over Cathy Cook-Thistle (Anne Russell, Lisa Ito, Marlene Mori).  The Contempra Signs event final was won by Darcy Robertson-Fort Rouge (Calleen Neufeld, Vanessa Foster, Michelle Kruk, Tracey Lavery) 5-2 over Chris Scalena-Thistle (Deb McCreanor, Heather Williams, Laura Skabar).

** The three event finals in the 88th annual CurlManitoba Women's bonspiel take place at 6pm Sunday at Fort Rouge. In the Championship final, Cheryl Reed-Springfield will play Lori Pelissier-Thistle. Thistle teams will also play in each of the other two event finals. Cathy Cook will play Laurie Deprez-Stonewall and Chris Scalena will play Darcy Robertson-Fort Rouge.
