Ice Techs Top Beausejour Committee Golf Event

A drive too long to estimate won Ice Tech Eric Mntford the long-drive contest at today's Beausejour Seafeway Championship golf event and helped earn his team, which included fellow Ice Tech Greg Ewasko, the low net score of the day at the Selkirk Golf Club. Playing a 6-person scramble format, Montford and Ewasko teamed with Ernie Chalus, John Hiscock, Grant Plohman, and Lorne Ryall  finished the day with a net score of 55 - 16 under par.

Coordinated by Beausejour Host Committee Marketing Chair Rick Stefansson, the event was co-sponsored by the local Safeway store which is managed by Linda Huclack as well as by Cleveland Golf, Srixon, and Direct Focus.

Sponsors representatives and volunteers were paired with notable curlers including Jeff Stoughton, Reid Carruthers, Justin Richter, Mike McEwen. Kelly Marnoch and many others.

Included was former champion Randy Dutiaume (pictured) whose playing partners looked on in some amazement when Dutiaume made his best shot of the day with the camera rolling.

Other specialty prizes went to Lori Enstrom (Women`s Long Drive), Rick Stefansson (Men`s Closest to the Hole), Cheryl Mitchell (Women`s Closest to the Hole), and Al Friesen (Putting Contest). Sepoy Wong scored a hole-in-one on the Selkirk 12th.
