Junior Super Leagues Update - Atkins League Shifts to Skins, Birchard Leads at Victoria

Tuesday Feb 23 2010

A switch to Skins Format competition for the third and final round of Atkins Curling Supplies Junior Super League play was unkind to several teams including league leader Alex Forrest. Of a total of 13 poimnts available, Forrest could muster only 2 in an 11-2 loss at the hands of Daniel Birchard. Alyssa Vandepoele scored the same 11-2 victory over Matt Dunstone as did Sam Good over Riley Smith. The Good win and Forrest loss means the last two provincial junior men's champions are tied in the league lead with 14-3 records.

Kate Cameron out-pointed Dylan Gousseau 9-4. Joel Hildebrand scored all 13 available points in a win over Steen Sigurdson. Breanne Meakin trailed Shannon Birchard 7 points to two and did not play the final end as there were only 4 points available and a win was not possible.
