Johnson Team Wins Manitoba Firefighters

Skip Mike Johnson and his team of Cliff Cullen, Rob Gudnason and Jesse Janz, representing the Baldur/Glenboro Fire Department won this year's Manitoba Firefighters Curling Championship played on the February 5-7 weekend in Glenboro.  The Johnson team will represent Manitoba at the national event. Johnson (Baldur/Glenboro F.D.) beat Gord Cole (Winnipeg-Retired) in the A-A Page Playoff game while Guy Senecal (Winnipeg F.D) beat Dennis Neal (Winnipeg F.D.) in the Page B-B game. Senecal beat Cole in the semi-final. Dennis Neal had won the previous two Manitoba championships.
